Ventura, CA

After leaving Newport Beach, we headed to Ventura and pulled into the Ventura Beach RV Resort. It was another great park. Level, concrete pads with full hook ups. It can get loud with the highway on one side and a road on the other, but we didn’t mind too much.

The beach was a short walk on a paved path and downtown Ventura is filled with cute shops, restaurants, coffee spots and great historic bungalows.

The water was cold so we didn’t get in until we had wet suits, but running and playing along the beach was great fun! And obviously, the sunsets are amazing!

We had a visit from Uncle Mackenzie one evening and grabbed tacos on the pier and played a rousing football game.

We enjoyed lunches at the Sandbox…

Surfing lessons…

Made a new canine bff…

Had an art lesson, bracelet making lesson, and woodworking lesson…

And some school, of course…

We ate great food and spent time with friends…

And just loved being in Ventura. It is definitely at the top of our list of places that feel like home. Mark spoke at a church, did a luncheon and had meetings throughout the week, but it felt so much like vacation because of the hospitality of some close friends in Ventura. From feeding us delicious food, to lending us a car for the week, offering laundry services and hot showers…we were so blessed.

Up next, Yosemite!!!
